Oscar Javier Ramirez Castellanos

Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco on May 20, 1975. He graduated from the Pan-American University Law School in Guadalajara on 2001 with the thesis, “Legal Requirements to Consolidate a Legal Department inside of a Corporation (Problem Areas within a Specific Case)”.

He worked as a legal assistant and head of the legal department of the AGA Consortium, GARMU Division, and as Head of Criminal Matters at the Tax Administration Service (SAT), a decentralized agency of the Mexican Ministry of the Internal Revenue Service.

He has taken several courses including: A Diploma Course about Customs and Foreign Trade given by the Isselin Cardona Group in conjunction with the SAT. Two courses in Criminal Tax at the Tax Training Institute of the SAT. A course about protecting corporations from labor disputes given by Quality Training of Mexico. A Workshop on improving Occupational Hazards Costs given by the International Consulting Group. Negotiations to Win taught by the American Management Association. Studied a course on the Federal Labor Laws imparted by the Interactive Business Training Institute. Took a course on the Tax Implications of Contracts taught by the Tax Updating Institute. Analyzed the Social Security Law and its practical applications through a course with the Interactive Business Training Institute. Also studied a seminar on Productivity and Time Management given by Franklin Covey of Mexico. Finally took a seminar on Criminal Procedure taught in conjunction by the Pan-American University and the Mexican Bar College of Attorneys.

He is a tenure professor of Legal Sociology and General Theory of the State at the “Centro Universitario de Occidente”, with official recognition by the University of Guadalajara. He is also adjunct professor of General Theory of the State at the Pan-American University in Guadalajara, and tenure professor of General Introduction of Law at the University of Mexico Valley.

He has lectured at SAT about Criminal Tax Law. He has also given conferences to Corporations about the Mexican Labor Laws. He participated in the First Workshop about Legislative Matters for Law Students with the participation of several universities from the State of Jalisco, organized by the Mexican Congress. He is currently a member and cochairman of the Civil Commission of the National Association of Corporate Lawyers, and member of the Legal Issues Commission of COPARMEX, Jalisco.

He is fluent in both English and Italian.
